Hart Named Head Coach at Alabama

Congratulations to Colorado Rush Alum and former Director of Coaching Wes Hart for being named the Head Coach at the University of Alabama.

Wes takes over at Alabama after two years as an Assistant Coach at Florida State University where he helped lead the Seminoles to the programs first National Title in 2014 along with a National Runner Up finish in 2013.

Hart was drafted to the Colorado Rapids of the MLS in 2000 and also spent time with the San Jose Earthquake before taking a coaching position within the Colorado Rush. With the Rush, Wes led the club to its first ECNL National Championship with the U15 girls in 2012 along with other prestigious wins including Manchester United Cup and Gothia Cup.

Alabama finished the 2014 season 10-7-3 and 5-4-2 in the SEC (7th place).

The 2015 season will bring Hart up against some familiar faces from Colorado Rush as Bama will play Tennessee (Riley O'Keefe), Virginia (Betsy Brandon), Arkansas (Bri Curtis) and Georgia (Rebecca Rasmussen).

Good luck Wes!
