Brooke Moody, Senior Midfielder for the University of Montana Women’s Soccer program is a Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award Finalist for 2014. A standout youth player with CO Rush, she was a 3-Time State Cup Champion, Regional Champion and National Finalist. She has continued her excellence on and off the field at the University of Montana earning 2nd team All Big Sky and is a 3-time All Academic Award winner with a 3.8 GPA in Psychology.
The Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award, an acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
"Brooke is certainly deserving of this honor as she has been a great example of what it means to be a student athlete," said Brooke's long time Rush Coach Andrew Kummer. "During her time with the Rush she conducted herself with the highest of standards and was a great teammate. Her leadership skills and consistency on the field helped lead her team on an unforgettable run to the 2010 USYS National Championship."
The finalists were chosen by a media committee from the list of 30 men’s candidates and 30 women’s candidates announced in September. Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner. Fans are encouraged to vote on the Senior CLASS Award website through November 24. Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches’ votes to determine the winner. The Senior CLASS Award winners will be announced during the 2014 NCAA Men’s and Women’s College Cup championships in December.
