U12 Wisconsin Rush Win Waukesha Title For 2nd Year Running.

08.23.11 -_u12_wisconsin_boys_win_waukeshaThey beat North shore United 3-2 in their first game.  Then fell 1-0 behind against Mequon and had a couple of goals disallowed but stuck to the game plan a free kick pulled the team level to 1-1 and then a penalty gave us a 2-1 lead and a 3rd goal secured the 3-1 lead at half time.  Rush scored 3 unanswered goals in the second half to come out 6-1 winners.  The Mequon keeper also pulled off 2-3 outstanding saves.

On Sunday Rush met KASL FC United and quick went into the lead.  at 2-0 the team was cruising and the ref called Rush for a penalty which was clinically dispatched.  Rush restored their 2 goal lead and went in leading 3-1 at half.  A 2nd penalty called against Rush made the game interesting but then Rush changed gear and scored 3 more unanswered goals running out 6-2 winners.  The 4th being the pick of the bunch as it included some great build up play with 5 players involved.   

The final game saw Rush play the hosts Waukesha who have be dubbed one of the best teams in the state.  Rush took an early lead and controlled the pace and tempo of the game.  Further goals saw Rush go 4-0 up at half.  Waukesha scored after a few minutes then missed an penalty.  Then Rush add to more goals and missed a couple of chances but ran out 6-1 winners.  On their way to 4 victories Rush scored 21 goals and conceeded 6 against solid opposition.
