Iowa Alums Earn Collegiate Accolades

Iowa Rush is proud to announce that 4 alumni who are playing collegiately have earned post-season conference accolades for their outstanding performances this fall season. 

Iowa Rush Executive Director/Technical Director, Paul Fabry had this to say: “We are always proud of our Iowa Rush Alumni no matter what new goals they have as they graduate out of our youth system.  These particular players have shown great character in pushing themselves to new heights as individuals within their team, gaining recognition from their conference as elite players.  We know they forever have the script “R” close to their hearts as they represent the Iowa Rush at the next level with pride.  I hope our younger players look up to these current All-Conference players and strive to follow their great example. Well done and congratulations Alexis, Kasey, Rachel and Eniz!”

11.13.14 - Rachael McClosky IA Rush

Rachael McCloskey, Iowa Rush Class of 2014, was named to the Big Ten Conference All-Freshman team following her performance this fall for University of Minnesota. 

11.13.14 - IA Rush Alexis Heffernan

Alexis Heffernan, Iowa Rush Class of 2012, was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference First team following her junior year season in which she started and played in all 20 games for Truman State University. 

11.13.14 - IA Rush Kasey Hurt

Kasey Hurt, Iowa Rush Class of 2014, was named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Freshman Team after her first season of collegiate competition for Drake University. 

11.13.14 - IA Rush Eniz Smajolovic

Eniz Smajolovic, Iowa Rush Class of 2014, was named an All-Region Honorable Mention after his freshman season playing for Marshalltown Community College.
