Rush Select Announces Coaching Staff and Events for 2012/13

Rush Select is excited to announce the new coaching staff for the upcoming year. With many of the head coaches returning to continue the journey of development with their teams, there are a number of new faces that are coming in as assistants to work with the experienced Select Coaches. Russell Finch (GA) and Chris Panayiotou (WI) have made the move from assistant to head coach of the G13 and G15 respectively. Adam Ritchie (MD) and Tim Amlong (MO) have joined the staff working with the B13 and G16 respectively.

We are excited to have Andrew Vanover (DE) back with the program after a few years away, but now back with Delaware Rush we were eager to have him rejoin the program. Coaches from 13 different Rush clubs will be represented with ten returning coaches from last year; and many of the older teams are looking to reunite because of the experience they have had over previous years.

There are a number of events coming up for Select, with the B14 traveling to Alaska at the start of June. We will then be taking the U13 Boys and Girls Select pools to the U14 Festival, for training and games. The G14 Select is also attending the Rush Fest to expand the pool and train together with the coaching staff.

Also look out for the Regional Select Program that we hope to unveil towards the end of the summer, where we have the ability to bring in the top players from clubs that are closely located for tournaments and training events.
