Maryland Rush Montgomery 97 girls took first place in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the US Super Y-League and will advance to the finals being held December 5-9 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The U-15 team went undefeated and ended the summer season with the second highest rank in the entire U-15 age-group which includes teams from four regions in the US and Canada.
From Coach Kennedy Torres about the team's accomplishment: “I’m very proud of the players who gave their all against many tough teams. Summer is always a challenging time of the year to play because of family vacation, but we were very fortunate to have a very talented group of players who always came ready to play. We are now looking forward to representing Maryland Rush at the Super Y League Championship.”
The USL Super Y-League Championship is the premier event of the summer for the Super Y-League. After competing during the regular season from April to August, the boys and girls divisional winners convene at IMG Academy to battle for the championship.
