Alaska Rush Technical Director Jason Leonardis recently spent time in Colorado for on the field training and to learn more about the day to day operations of Rush Soccer. Throughout the week, Jason had the opportunity to meet with the Colorado Rush administrative staff and Directors of Coaching to get a detailed overview of programs and the role that each of them plays within the club. While Jason is pleased with the overall progress being made in Alaska, he admits, “This trip allowed me to live the “Rush Way” for several days and I am confident that I will now be able to implement more of this philosophy into the day to day activity of the Alaska Rush.“
Jason lived in Tokyo, Japan for eight years in which he spent several years coaching with the TFA Elite Soccer Academy. The earthquake in March forced him and his family to make the move back to the United States in which he was fortunate to land a coaching opportunity with the Alaska Rush. He has since been promoted to the Technical Director position and has played an important role in bringing leadership and stability to the club.
