13s Rush Fest Day 4

4 days of games training and social events has begun to take its toll on the members of the U13 Rush Fest. Morning games saw tired legs and multiple injuries (to the point coaches jumped on the field to fill out numbers). 

The afternoon session was marred by torential rainfall and lightning strikes that cancelled out the small sided tournament that had been scheduled. Despite the cancellation, several players found a way to entertain themselves:

In the evening, the Fest participants headed to the Virginia Beach Piranahs game (PDL) to watch them take on league foe West Virginia Chaos. Rush players got the chance to ask Tyler Benham, goalkeeper coach for the Festival and player for the Piranahs, to 'Give them a wave.'

The U13 Festival raps up Sunday morning with the final set of games and the awarding of the Rush Spirit award and the 'Fire in the Gut' award sponsored by the Navy Seals.
