13's Rush Fest is in the Books

The U13 Rush Fest is in the books here in Virginia Beach. The final games of the week were played this morning on sloppy fields after yesterday's rains. The Delaware boys avenged their day one loss against Mercurial 3-1 and the VA Tiempo boys knocked off Rush National 3-1 in arguably the most intense boys game of the week.

The girls matches were altered a bit as injuries and early departures forced the remaining players to be combined into two teams with the 'Blue Team' taking the victory.

Closing ceremonies saw the Virginia Rush crowned as Rush Spirit winners and Brendan Hanrahan (DE Rush) and Grace Carlino (TN Rush) awarded the first ever 'Fire in the Gut Award' presented by the Navy Seals. The award is given to the player that displayed the most desire to push through challenges to achieve their goals on the pitch. 

The U12's are up next with 250 kids invading the beach starting Monday night!
