2018 08.18 - Pictured here Chairman of Rush Soccer, Jérôme de Bontin with Lindsey Horan days before Lindsey heads off to play for the world renown Paris St. Germain. Jérôme flew to Colorado to meet with Lindsey, the youngest player to sign a professional contract in Europe. Jérôme brokered the deal single handedly. His connections and reputation with the top clubs in France gave Lindsey the opportunity of a life time.
Lindsey, “Just days before I was scheduled to fly to Paris, Tim Schulz invited my family and I to lunch to meet Jérôme de Bontin. It was great to finally meet Jérôme to thank him for all he has done for me. I wouldn’t be where I am now if it weren’t for him and I cannot thank him enough for what he has done. We had a good chat and Jérôme gave me many pointers on living in Paris. I look forward to seeing him again soon!"
It was also a bittersweet meeting with Tim. "As hard as it is to believe I really am going to miss Tim. He has been such a huge part of my life the past five years. He has been a great coach, friend and mentor and I couldn’t thank him enough, and even with all the crazy weird things Tim does! In addition to Tim, Erik Bushey has been a huge part of my success. I’ve asked him numerous times for advice both on the field and off and he is always there for me with an honest opinion. He’s not only one of the best coaches in the world but is a great friend."
"I also would like to thank Wes Hart and the rest of the Rush Staff for everything that they have done for me. I will truly miss my “Rush Family.” I’ll keep in touch, and see everyone at Alumni Week! Thanks for all your support.”
