Civana Kuhlman has been called up to the all-important U17 World Cup Qualifying campaign. Next to the World Cup itself, there is no more important event for a National Team. The U17 team is often considered the most important youth team and this marks the third straight qualifying that a CO Rush player has been called into the team. What is even more unique for this one is that Civana (“C”) is age eligible for the U15 National Team; she’s playing two years up for our country!
C is in great company as she follows in the lines of previous youth national team players: Sarah Wagenfuher, Jordan Angeli, Morgan Stanton, Lindsey Horan, Gabbi Miranda, Lizzy Raben. The tradition continues! It continues because of the Rush Way and because of the excellent teammates each of these great young players have played alongside, coupled with the talent and determination to push forward to the highest levels our country has to offer.
Additionally, if not for injury Sabrina Macias had solidified herself as a U17 National Team member and we’ll look forward to her healthy return in a handful of months. And, pointing to the depth of the club, Betsy Brandon, Jordan DiBiasi and Rebecca Rasmussen have each been called into the next U18 National Team camp.
Congratulations girls! And, all the very best to Civana as she represents our club and our country!
