New York Rush Starts Branch on Long Island

rush-news-4The New York Rush is excited to announce that it has added a Long Island branch to the Rush family. The Three Village Soccer Club/Stony Brook Travel Teams have entered into a relationship with the New York Rush, and will be known as the Stony Brook Rush. Stony Brook will become the only soccer club on Long Island to be associated with the Rush Soccer organization.

Stony Brook Rush is located on the beautiful North Shore of Long Island, and utilizes the exceptional facilities of the State University of New York Stony Brook. With 500+ travel and premier players, Stony Brook brings a rich history of soccer to the New York Rush, and both parties are eager to build something unprecedented in New York.

Stony Brook Rush Director of Coaching, Mark Nash commented; “This is one of the most exciting chapters in our club’s history and really will give us a strong platform to create an environment which is pro-development for both our players and coaches. Our close relationship with the New York Rush will allow our organization to go from strength to strength, and give players of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in our program moving forward.”

New York Rush Technical Director, Steve Davis said “I’m looking forward to working with Mark Nash and the Stony Brook Rush. It’s no secret that team spirit is a contributing factor in coach and player development, so our aim is to make the New York Rush and Stony Brook Rush one cohesive unit both on and off the field, and it’s my goal to allow each coach and player to contribute to this process. I am very enthusiastic and positive about the addition of Stony Brook to the New York Rush, and I believe that together we’ll establish a solid foundation that will enable all of our players regardless of age and ability to grow and develop their game.”
