02.12.11_-_iowa_rush_-_megan_fuller(02.14.11) Iowa Rush Alum Megan Fuller was invited to attend the u20 US Women’s National Team Camp which will be held at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California beginning February 13th. Fuller's call up to National Camp comes after an exceptional freshman season at The Ohio State University where Megan earned herself a starting role as a center back. Fuller helped the team advance all the way through to the Final Four of the NCAA tournament where they lost to eventual champion, Notre Dame. In addition to the success of the team, Fuller garnered individual attention throughout the season with the most notable award

coming at the conclusion of the conference season being named to the Big-Ten All Freshman Team.

While with the Rush, Fuller played for Daryl Brazeau (current Academy Director) and won two back-to-back State Cup titles in 2008 and 2009. She also played for the Iowa Rush WPSL team last summer prior to arriving at Ohio State. Fuller is pictured at right in a heated battle for possession of the ball in this year’s Final Four game vs. Notre Dame. Iowa Rush Director of Coaching, Corbin Stone, had this to say “Megan has certainly earned the opportunity she has been given to attend National Camp with the u20s. She is a great role model for the current Iowa Rush youth players who have aspirations to play at the highest levels. We wish her the best of luck at camp!”

Fuller will be posting updates from camp on the Iowa Rush Twitter account (@iowarush) so if you’d like to know how camp is going, follow Iowa Rush on Twitter! Thanks to Megan for her willingness to keep us updated!
