Lizzy Raben, Morgan Stanton and Gabbi Miranda (at right), along with the rest of the U17 US Women's National Team recently returned from La Manga, Spain where the team went undefeated in the U19 Ten Nations Tournament. With a 2-0 win over France, 1-1 draw with England and 2-0 victory over Holland, the 17's left Spain feeling good after gaining positive results against teams two years older.

"I’ve spoken to Albertin Montoya (U17 Head National Team Coach) and received glowing reports about all three of the girls. This is an exciting time as they prepare for World Cup qualifying," commented Colorado Rush Technical Director Erik Bushey. He continued, "The experience in Spain competing against traditional soccer powers like France, England and Holland further enhances the overall value of their time with the national team. Of course they are representing their country but they are becoming better players as a result of such experiences and as further result, same goes for their club mates here at home. I am proud of the girls for the way they are representing Rush Soccer with their performance on and off the field.”

The three Rush girls have spent much of 2012 with the 17's as the team prepares for CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying in early May with a trip to the U17 Women's World Cup on the line. The girls currently play for the U17 CO Rush Nike team that lead the Mountain West Conference of the ECNL(13th overall).
