Gabb Tabbed as CAP Director
Rush Soccer is pleased to announce the appointment of our newest employee. Michael Gabb has been named as the College Advisory Program (CAP) Director for Rush Soccer.
“Mike was an easy choice to lead the College Advisory Program. He is personal, knowledgeable and hardworking. I know our Rush membership will benefit,” said Rush Soccer President and CEO Tim Schulz.
Michael played 5 years at Creighton University, with Rush Alums Brian Mullan, David Wagenfuhr, Zach Piercy, and Jeremy Shelton, starting in the 2000 National Title game and 2002 Final Four. During his tenure he received MVC 2nd Team Honors and College Soccer News All-American Honors. He was selected for the 2000 Final Four All-Tournament Team followed by his first National Olympic Pool Team in 2001. Michael played one season professionally with the USL Syracuse Salty Dogs before retiring due to injury. He coached three years at the collegiate level with Winthrop University and his Alma Mater, Creighton, each year making and advancing in the NCAA tournament. In that time, he produced All-Conference and All-American performers in both the Men and Women’s game. Michael received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Business from Creighton University, while also receiving his MBA from Winthrop University in 2007. He currently holds his NSCAA National License, and has been coaching since the age of 14.
Michael is also currently the Direcor of Goalkeeping at Colorado Rush. "I am honored and excited to be joining a club with the pedigree of Rush. The depth, breadth, and drive the club offers to young soccer players is second to none with aspirations that match their long storied history," he commented.
Playerocity is proud to announce that Michael Gabb will also be filling the position of National CAP director for Playerocity, creating a fantastic partnership enabling Michael to direct Playerocity efforts to best serve the Rush membership. This will provide Michael and all Rush members (players/parents/coaches) an amazing arsenal of tools to offer the best college advisory program in the United States and beyond.
