REACH-ing the Soccer World
Do you have a used Rush uniform or other soccer gear in good condition? Would you like to make a difference in the life of a young person in Africa, Asia, or Latin America? If you are a girl playing for Rush at the competitive level, would you like to receive a $20 rebate for your uniform?
If you have answered “yes” to these questions, then you will want to participate in Rush Soccer’s REACH (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) program. The purpose of REACH is to collect gently used soccer gear and ship it to communities in need all around the world.
Here’s how it works:
- See what spare soccer gear you have to donate. We are looking for shoes, balls, jerseys, shorts, sweats, shinguards, socks, cones, nets, goalie gloves, etc. Please be sure that donated gear is for soccer only, is clean, and has no rips or holes.
- Talk to your team manager or the REACH Volunteer Coordinator (RVC) of your club to find out when and where to donate your gear. To be eligible to receive the $20 rebate, competitive girls must bring 2 jerseys and a pair of shorts in good condition. (Competitive boys will have a chance to receive a rebate in 2012).
- Your RVC or Team Manager will send the boxes to Rush Soccer in Colorado where uniforms and other soccer gear will be sorted and shipped to kids in need all around the world.
Thank you for your help. Your contributions will positively impact our newly formed Rush clubs oversees and other communities in need.
