Rush Soccer is excited to announce the newest addition to its domestic footprint with the announcement of Cajun Rush, located in Louisiana. Formerly Cajun Soccer Club, the club retains its local ties to the community, the Acadiana region, with the updated name to ‘Cajun Rush’. Rush Soccer is proud to welcome them into the Rush family. It is also the first club established in Louisiana in club history.

Rush Soccer’s international reach, player base of upward of 35,000 players across the U.S. and world, and national level programs emphasizing the importance of player development are key components that influenced the decision makers of Cajun SC to become part of the Rush brand.

The formation of Cajun Rush emphasizes the local club’s Core Value of remaining at the forefront of soccer innovation and development.  The club plans to introduce countless benefits to its players, coaches and overall membership. By gaining access to the unprecedented amount of work and knowledge that Rush has gathered through the organization’s years of development, Cajun Rush members will reap the benefits of all Rush now offers its players domestically and globally.  From the grassroots coaching education, to access to the US Soccer's Development Academy (both boys and girls), and stakes in multiple professional teams across the world, Rush Soccer has proven itself as a world-wide brand.

Cajun Rush is grateful to be able to retain the history of the former club while looking ahead with anticipation to the future as a Rush club. In most affiliations, like MLS affiliates, clubs lack the local feel and identity. Rush welcomes the Cajun culture and values the cultural elements that every Rush club brings into the network; the Rush leadership and staff believe Cajun Rush can add a valuable piece to the world-wide network that is already in place. Rush Soccer anticipates that Cajun Rush will be able to contribute well to the vision of bringing like-minded clubs from around the world together to create a player base which is unmatched in both quality and quantity.

“The transition to Cajun Rush will enhance our ability to provide players and teams with high quality developmental opportunities.  We are extremely excited and honored to be welcomed into the Rush family!” Said Marcus Theunissen, LYSA/CSC President.

Tim Schulz, President & CEO of Rush Soccer, had this to say, "We are honored to have Cajun SC join our organization as Cajun Rush. Our values and aim for player development align perfectly and I couldn’t think of a better fit for both parties. I’m looking forward to working with Cajun Rush in the months and years ahead!"

Michael Ritch, Executive Director of LYSA/CSC, said, "I'm proud to be a part of a club that is constantly pushing to provide our players and coaches with more opportunities.  Cajun Soccer Club has always worked to provide more for our players and Rush Soccer provides a new avenue for player and coach development.  Rush Soccer truly believes in their values and the people they work with and as such, I believe we align perfectly with the vision and development model of Rush Soccer.

I'm thrilled about what the future holds for our players and their continued development as we strive to be on the forefront of soccer in Louisiana.  This affiliation will create avenues for our players that just aren't available to most clubs. I'd like to thank Tim Schulz (Rush President and CEO) and Justin Miller (Rush Director of Operations) for their belief in Cajun Soccer Club and the opportunity to be part of the future of Rush Soccer."

Rush Soccer is proud to express, alongside the local club, that “We Are Cajun Rush!”
