Rush Soccer Alumna Jordan DiBiasi re-signs with NWSL’s Washington Spirit

On Oct. 28, the NWSL’s Washington Spirit announced seven players had been re-signed for the 2021 season, including Colorado Rush alumna and midfielder Jordan DiBiasi

Dibiasi’s success adds to Rush Soccer’s reputation for developing elite youth players through a distinct pathway to the heights of competition, Rush Soccer began in 1997 in Littleton, Colo., and now includes more than 100 partner clubs and a nationwide membership of more than 45,000 players and growing. Dozens of Rush alumni have soared to the heights of the game, including American internationals and NWSL stars like Lindsey Horan (USWNT, Portland Thorns), Ryan Williams (NC Courage), Danica Evans (NC Courage) and Mallory Weber (Utah Royals). Currently, there is a Rush Soccer club in almost every state across America and more than 40 International Rush Clubs based in Africa, North and South America, Asia and Europe.

DiBiasi’s new contract runs for two-years with a club option for a third year.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to get (Jordan) over the line on a long-term contract at our club,” Spirit head coach Richie Burke said. “She is a huge part of our future plans and I’m really pleased to be able to continue working on moving our squad toward a championship. These seven players are integral to our success and their development over the past two seasons has been a joy to see.”

Spirit Chief Executive Officer and Director of Sporting Operations Larry Best said this on the players re-signing with Washington: “This marks a paramount day for the Spirit organization to have these seven players extending their playing careers in Washington and in the NWSL. This talented group of players now join Aubrey Bledsoe, Ashley Sanchez, and Andi Sullivan as a key piece of building a Championship roster that will compete to win trophies in the coming years.”

DiBiasi, a Stanford alumna and the No. 3 NWSL Draft selection in 2019, has made 25 appearances (22 starts) and played more than 1,900 minutes all-time in the NWSL. She’s scored four goals in her two seasons as a professional.
