Hawaii Rush: Building Champions on the Islands And Beyond

From sun-drenched training sessions to championship-winning teams, Hawaii Rush continues to set the standard for excellence across Rush Nation. While island geography may present its challenges, Hawaii Rush has never let that limit its vision. Instead, they’ve turned it into fuel, proactively connecting with the wider Rush community to give their players every chance to grow, compete, and succeed.
With year-round training powered by Hawaii’s climate, nearly every age group benefits from high-level coaching and a developmental philosophy rooted in long-term growth. Starting as young as U6, players follow a consistent curriculum crafted by Coach Arian, ensuring every touch, drill, and decision builds toward the bigger picture.
“We don’t just train players, we grow them from the ground up,” says Sheryl Hopeau, a proud leader of Hawaii Rush.
Success, On and Off the Field
This past year was one for the books:
- 14 of 16 championship titles across all age groups
- 2 U.S. National Team call-ups
- Club growth from 1,000 to 1,400+ players
- Expansion to Mililani, with more growth on the horizon
And beyond the trophies, Hawaii Rush continues to invest in people, developing top-tier athletes, leaders, and coaches ready to make an impact.
At Hawaii Rush, every day is a tryout, and every player earns their spot. It’s a culture where development never stops and where potential meets opportunity. With over 130 teams, Hawaii Rush has built a system that balances opportunity with structure. Players grow across multiple levels through double rostering and tutor training. A robust College Advisory Program (CAP) offers personalized support throughout the recruitment journey. Weekly Friday technical sessions sharpen ball mastery and build confidence. For those seeking elite, high-intensity development, our High Performance Camps deliver advanced training experiences. Age group–based coaching ensures fairness and consistent evaluations at every stage.
Community Is the Mission
From cancer research fundraising to Maui fire relief, Hawaii Rush leads with heart. Quarterly bonding events bring players, families, and staff together in true ohana spirit, fostering the kind of unity and support that lasts well beyond the final whistle.
“Soccer is the vehicle,” Sheryl says. “But community is the mission.”
