U.S. Soccer has officially opened the Arthur M. Blank National Training Center just south of Atlanta, giving the game in America a new national home and a major investment in its future.
The 200-acre campus includes 17 outdoor fields, 20 locker rooms, 19 meeting rooms, indoor courts, a high-performance gym, and more than 400,000 square feet of space designed to support players, coaches, referees, staff, and the broader soccer community. For Rush Soccer, this is a proud moment because of the center’s connection to the local soccer community around Atlanta’s
Rush Union Soccer.
Rush Union's Executive Director, Neil McNab, has already seen the impact begin. “It really puts the spotlight on soccer in Georgia,” McNab told ESPN.
A facility like this can make a real difference for local players, coaches, clubs, and families. It does more than host national teams. It creates access to education and development, brings more people into the game, and gives young players a closer look at what the next level can look like.
Through Rush Union Soccer, local players and coaches have already connected with the new facility through events, coaching education, school-based soccer initiatives, and player development programming.
McNab summed it up well when he told ESPN, “This is not the finish line. This is a starting point.”
The opening of U.S. Soccer’s new home is a national milestone, but its impact will also be felt locally. For Rush Union Soccer and the greater Rush community, it shows how the future of the game is built through players, coaches, families, clubs, and the opportunities created around them.
Rush Soccer is proud to be part of that story.
