WHAT IS The Rush Women's Alliance?

The Rush Women’s Alliance is a strategic initiative of Rush Soccer aimed at fostering the growth and development of female coaches, administrators, and executives within the Rush network. Our mission is to empower women in soccer through dedicated support, professional development, and meaningful networking opportunities.

• Networking: We host networking socials at key events to facilitate connections within our community, helping to share knowledge and best practices.

• Professional Development: The Rush Women’s Alliance aims to expand the Emerging Coach Program across all Rush clubs, offering professional development workshops, and providing educational scholarships for women in Rush.

• Scholarship: As part of our commitment to advancing the role of women in soccer, we are proud to offer scholarships specifically designed to help female coaches within the Rush Soccer network access US Soccer Coaching Education “B” and “C” courses.

• Visibility and Promotion: We are committed to increasing the visibility of female professionals within our network. This includes highlights of their achievements across our communications channels and advocating for more women in high-level positions within Rush Soccer.

• Dedicated Resources: We provide resources tailored to the needs of female coaches, including coaching education pathways, mentorship programs, and inspirational content.
  

Coaching Scholarship Program

The Rush Women’s Alliance (RWA) is committed to advancing the role of women in soccer by providing targeted support and resources to our network of female coaches. As part of this commitment, we are proud to offer scholarships specifically designed to help female coaches within the Rush Soccer network access US Soccer Coaching Education “B” and “C” courses.

Why Apply?

Women are significantly underrepresented in coaching roles within soccer, particularly at higher levels. Data shows that only 23% of coaching roles are held by women, and the numbers decline sharply at elite coaching levels.

Our Goal: Rush Women’s Alliance aims to bridge this gap by equipping female coaches with the necessary tools, education, and opportunities to excel. Our scholarships are a cornerstone of this mission, intending to support female coaches who aspire to reach higher accreditation levels and take on leadership roles within our clubs.

Scholarship Details

Coverage: The scholarship covers the entire cost of enrollment in US Soccer Coaching National “C” or “B” Licenses.

Number of Scholarships Available: Annually, RWA intends to award 1 scholarship based on the application strength and the demonstrated need of the applicant.

Eligibility: The scholarship is open to any current female coach within the Rush Soccer network who demonstrates a commitment to advancing their coaching career. Applicants must be actively coaching at a Rush-affiliated club, have a passion for developing their skills and knowledge, and be accepted into the USSF “B” or “C” coaching course.



Selection Criteria: Applications will be reviewed by a panel consisting of Rush SPI staff. Selection will be based on the applicant’s potential for growth, commitment to soccer coaching, and the impact of the educational opportunity on their career.
